Physical Geography (1885)

This book provides an interesting look at the state of astronomy in the 19th Century. Although surprisingly accurate in many ways, there are numerous factual errors and references that would no longer be used, for example:

• Every star except our sun is referred to as a "fixed star".
• The nearest "fixed star" is said to be "Star 61 of the constellation Cygnus" (7 light-years away).
• There is of course no reference to Pluto (discovered in 1930).

This book was brought back from the USA by my brother Richard in 2008 (?)
