Exhibits: Skylab

Skylab was the first space station constructed by the United States. Weighing around 100 tons, the space station was in orbit from 1973 to 1979, and it was visited by NASA crews three times in 1973 and 1974. It included a laboratory for studying the effects of microgravity and the Apollo Telescope Mount solar observatory.
